4th ET Symposium

The 4th general ET meeting will be held in Hannover on December 4 and 5 (2012) in the Seminar room of the Institut für Gravitationsphysik of the Leibniz Universität Hannover, Callinstr. 38, 30167 Hannover.
The Einstein Telescope Conceptual Design Study completed in May 2011, more than one year ago. The next steps on the way to a detailed technical design study need to be planned. At the 4th ET symposium we will evaluate our current position, define the needs for immediate R&D and design activities, and plot the roadmap for the future.

The number of participants will be limited to a maximum of 60 people due to space constraints. You can send a request for registration using this link:

The GraWIToN proposal, submitted under FP7, has been positively evaluated by the REA and it is currently under negotiation.

GraWIToN is an "Initial Training Network" project, under the Marie Curie Actions, aiming to the joint training of 13 PhD students in Europe; the training is focused on 2nd and 3rd generation GW detectors. Five Universities, four research institutions and centers, three industries/private companies will collaborate in Europe in a 4-years project under the coordination of the European Gravitational Observatory.
