The ET (Einstein Telescope) project aims to the realization of a crucial research infrastructure in Europe: a third generation Gravitational Wave observatory. This observatory is aiming to observe the gravitational wave emission by binary black hole coalescences and binay neutron star coalescences in the whole universe. An updated science case document is available here
ET project born thanks to a Design Study funded by the European Commission  (FP7, Grant Agreement 211743) and a  Conceptual Design Document has been released by the original 8 partners.
Currently the ET proposal to the ESFRI Roadmap 2021 update is under preparation and it is involving many European countries. At the same time the ET scientific collaboraton is under realisation.
