The first general meeting of the ELiTES project has been held in Tokyo (3rd-4th of October 2012) in the auditorium of the European Union delegation in Japan and, the second day, in the Sanjo Conference Hall in Hongo Campus of University of Tokyo.

The GraWIToN proposal, submitted under FP7, has been positively evaluated by the REA and it is currently under negotiation. GraWIToN is an "Initial Training Network" project, under the Marie Curie Actions, aiming to the joint training of 13 PhD students in Europe; the training is focused on 2nd and 3rd generation GW detectors. Five Universities, four research institutions and centers, three industries/private companies will collaborate in Europe in a 4-years project under the coordination of the European Gravitational Observatory. |
